AMWA Championship

The 2011-2012 season will see the launch of a ‘NEW’ AMWA championship.

Awards are determined by totalling points from your finishing position at AMWA events over the season.

The qualifying races for this season will be:-

  • KINGS FOREST, THETFORD 29TH/3OTH   OCTOBER 2011
  • MALLARD PYKE, FOREST OF DEAN 26TH/27TH NOVEMBER 2011
  • BUTTERSTEEP, BERKSHIRE TBC

Perpetual trophies will be awarded for ALL classes at the last AMWA rally of the season.

Qualifying Classes

  • M1 – one dog Malamute
  • M2 – two dog Malamute
  • MS – three plus Malamutes
  • ASFDC – two /three dog mixed sled dog team
  • ES – two dog Siberian Husky
  • DS – two/three dog Siberian Husky
  • CS – three/four dog Siberian Husky
  • BS – four/six dog Siberian Husky
  • S1 – Malamute only scooter
  • J1 – Junior 12/18yrs (Malamutes only)
  • J2 – Junior 8/11yrs (Malamutes only)

 

POINTS AWARDED AS FOLLOWS

You can see by the points system that you would not have to enter all three races to win the championship! However the more you enter the more your chances of winning…. for example if you are consistently 5th over the three races you would accumulate 27 points – hence beating the person who came 1st in only entering one race!!

There will be one perpetual trophy per class for 1st place.
