The AMWA Easter weekend at Bewl water went ahead and the weather couldn’t have been more different than last year.

In 2010 we waded through the mud, this year we basked in the spring sunshine – it was glorious!

Despite the unexpected temperatures the timetable was adapted to allow all the planned activities to take place, allbeit slightly earlier or later in the day than originally planned.

A fun weight-pull was held on the Friday night to allow members to try this with their dogs. The trek participants were up bright and early on Saturday, leaving the campsite from 4am to complete the 13 mile route and be back in time for breakfast.

A backpacking walk also roused happy campers from their beds at sunrise on Sunday (even after the previous nights entertainments) walking along the lakeside . Early evening on Sunday saw many of us taking part around an Agility course – much to the entertainment of those watching!

A lovely weekend with time to catch-up with friends, work our malamutes and entertain each other with various forms of ‘singing’ .
